The figure depends on the size of your home and how often we come, it is flat-rate rather than hourly, and you have it in writing before the crew arrives. $135 is the bottom of that range and it is one specific case: a one-bedroom, one-bathroom home on weekly service. Most homes are bigger than that. Biweekly is the most common schedule we book, at $150 to $250 a visit, and a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house on biweekly is $200. Mt. Lookout homes vary a lot, from the smaller pre-war cottages and condos near the Square to the larger houses bordering Ault Park, so we price the actual house rather than a package. The price covers the whole house top to bottom, kitchen and bathrooms through bedrooms, living spaces and floors. Inside the oven and inside the fridge are add-ons at $65 and $100, not part of a standard visit. A first-time deep clean is quoted separately at $325, $550 or $850 by size, move-in and move-out cleans run $500 to $995, and first-time customers save $75.

Do you clean homes with original hardwood and plaster?

Yes, and in Mt. Lookout that is most of them. The great majority of these homes were built before 1940 and still have the original floors, plaster walls and detailed trim. We use hardwood-safe products rather than anything that strips or dulls a finish, and trim, picture rails and built-ins get hand-wiped rather than run over quickly. If you would rather we use a specific product on a floor, leave it out and we will use it.

Do I need to be home while you clean?

No, and most people are not. Around Mt. Lookout Square that usually means leaving us on a building access list or with a fob; on the residential streets it is normally a lockbox or a keypad code. Whatever the arrangement, it is the same crew arriving each time rather than a new face to buzz in. If you would rather be there, we can book a window that suits you.
